Before completing this form, please read the following information and the notes on page 1 of the form.

From the 6th April 2009, the Property Information Questionnaire becomes a mandatory component of the Home Information Pack and your Estate Agent is not legally allowed to start marketing your property without this form being included in the HIP. It is therefore very important that we receive this back from you as soon as possible.

Please also ensure that you have checked whether or not your property has a leasehold title in addition to its freehold title. Many houses have leases attached to their title of which the owner is unaware. It is very simple to check whether or not this is the case with your own property by visiting the Land Registry’s public site www.landregisteronline.gov.uk and entering the postcode of the property. If the tenure search returns 'Freehold' only then your property has a simple freehold title and you need only complete Part 1 of this form. If the search returns 'Freehold' and 'Leasehold' then your property also has a leasehold title and you need to complete Part 2 of the form in addition. The easiest way to return the form is to complete it online and e-mail it to us. To do this, please download the PIQ. You can then complete the form on your computer by tabbing between the various fields. Once completed, please save the form. (Click on File>Save As and save the form to your Desktop giving it the name ‘PIQ’ followed by the postcode of your property (eg PIQ SK10 4TX). Remember to save any subsequent changes you make.
